This is one of Aj's favorites since we got married. Now most of you know I am not gluten-free but I now have a gluten-free husband. I try to learn how to make our familiar recipes and turn them over to gluten-free deliciousness. This is sweet and you will be wanting to make this over and over again.
What you will need to make this recipe:
- 1 (19-21 oz. pkg.) Gluten-Free Chocolate Cake mix prepared according to package directions
- 2 (3.9 ounces) packages instant chocolate pudding, prepared according to package directions
- 1 (8 oz. pkg.) Heath or Skor Toffee Bits
You may also buy 1 (12oz) Cool Whip instead of making homemade whipping cream.
- 2 q. Heavy whipping cream
- 2 c. Powder Sugar
What To Do:
1. Preheat oven and bake cake batter in a 9 x13 baking pan according to package directions; allow to cool completely (TIP: Put the cake in the freezer for at least 1 hour to make it more moist)
2. While The cake is cooking I like to make the pudding mix according to the package. Then stick in the fridge until we assemble.
3.Use fork/toothpick to prick holes on top of cooled cake.
4. Make you favorite homemade whipping cream (I will put a tutorial up) or use Cool Whip
Now here is the time for the assembling part.
5. Break up cake into small pieces. Place 1/2 of brownies in bottom of the trifle dish or large glass serving bowl. Cover with half the pudding then one-third of the crushed candy and half the whipped topping. Repeat layers and top with the remaing crushed candy
6. Cover and chill at least 2 hours before serving. I like to refrigerate over night. Refrigerate any leftovers. If you have any left Ü
